Connect Bing Webmaster Tools to Rank Prompt
Bing search also feeds Microsoft Copilot. Connect Bing Webmaster Tools to read your Bing clicks next to Search Console, and upload its AI Performance exports to see the pages Copilot cites.
What it does
- See your Bing clicks, impressions, CTR and position by day, with the top queries and pages, next to your Google numbers.
- See the pages Microsoft Copilot cited from your site, and the grounding queries Copilot searched before it cited them, which Explorer lists so you can track them as prompts or keywords.
- Find out which of those pages ChatGPT, Perplexity and the other tracked engines cite too, and which Copilot alone cites.
- Put Bing search and Copilot citations in your client reports, and read them through the API and the MCP server.
What it cannot do
- Bing does not share AI Performance through its API, so Copilot citations come from the CSV files you export and upload.

-
Step 3
Read Bing next to Google
Open Website analytics, Bing for clicks, impressions, CTR, position and the top queries and pages, over the same dates as the rest of the page.
-
Step 4
Upload the AI Performance exports
In Bing Webmaster Tools, open AI Performance and export its three CSV files: the overview, the grounding queries and the cited pages. Upload them in Website analytics, Copilot citations. The queries and pages files do not say their dates, so pick the period you exported, or upload the overview with them.

Still have questions? Contact our team
Can Rank Prompt change anything in my Bing Webmaster Tools?
No. The access is read-only, and you can remove it from your Microsoft account at any time.
Why are Copilot citations uploaded and not read automatically?
Bing shows AI Performance in Bing Webmaster Tools but does not offer it through its API yet. Export the CSV files there and upload them; uploading the same file and period again replaces the earlier one.
What does the cross with my reports show?
For each page Copilot cited, Rank Prompt shows which engines it tracks for you cited the same page in your reports. A page only Copilot cites is a page the other engines are not picking up yet.
Which plan do I need?
Connecting Bing Webmaster Tools and uploading the AI Performance exports work on every plan, free included.
